New dentist brings renewed enthusiasm to local dental practice.

Delmarva Dental Services in Salisbury, Maryland, a local practice consisting of Dr. Robert Esham, Dr. Joseph Harmon, Dr. Raymond Makowske and Dr. Janet Cypher, offering general and cosmetic dentistry services, announces a new addition to their team, their 5th dentist, Dr. Leigh Auchey.

Dr. Auchey moves back to this area from York, Pennsylvania where she had been part of a private practice the past 6 years. She is a Salisbury native, having attended James M. Bennett High School. She graduated from Washington College with a major in biology and minor in chemistry and received her dental degree from University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2007. While there Dr. Auchey participated in a pediatric dentistry clerkship and special patient care (special needs) clerkship programs. She completed a one-year hospital based general practice residency at York hospital before moving on to a private practice.

Dr. Auchey is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and Local Dental Society of which she has been an officer for the past 4 years. Her professional interests and qualifications include restorative dentistry (composites, crowns & bridges, veneers), implant restorative dentistry, removable prosthetics (dentures and partials), oral surgery, orthodontics and TMJ treatment.

Dr. Auchey’s family includes her husband Matt, daughter Caroline, and second daughter Amelia, born in November 2014. They also have a Golden Doodle named Dudley. She enjoys spending time with family, outdoor activities, going to the beach, visiting friends and traveling.
